Psycho-Educational Assessments

Psycho-Educational assessments are provided for the purpose of identifying areas of academic strength or weakness, diagnosing learning disabilities or giftedness, informing academic planning, and accessing learning support services. Our strength-based approach is structured to provide insights and direction intended to help students perform to their potential, and to assist parents and teachers in supporting the child or youth most effectively.

This process involves:
a) A 1-hour initial parent intake meeting
b) 4 to 5 hours of in-person test administration (broken down into 3 separate sessions)
c) A 1-hour feedback session
d) A written report summarizing assessment results and offering personalized recommendations (typically a 5 to 6 hour report charge).

The total cost is based on the number of in-person sessions and the report writing cost ($235/hour) which can average between $2,820 to $3,055. If you have extended insurance, you may want to confirm what percentage of this service can be covered.

If you are interested, you are welcome to book your initial parent meeting online. If you still have questions, please email me directly at ksaruk@anchorpointecounselling.com.

Educational Consultant

Educational Consulting at AnchorPointe Counselling Group goes beyond homework help. It's about understanding each student's unique learning style and challenges to unlock their full potential. Our approach fosters self-confidence, improves organizational skills, and cultivates a love for learning. By tailoring strategies to individual needs, we help students not only improve their grades but also develop skills that will serve them throughout their academic and professional lives.

In addition, following a Psycho-Educational Assessment it may be difficult to know how to implement the feedback and recommendations, or how to advocate for students in their schools. Educational consulting provides practical guidance and tools to parents and caregivers so that they can assist and encourage their children at home and in school.
