How we got Started
"Opportunities are like sunrises, if you wait too long you miss them"
AnchorPointe Counselling was started by Drs. Graeme and Karla Saruk, psychologists living and raising their family on Bowen Island. Their practice was originally based in Vancouver, but over time it became increasingly apparent that there was a need among the Bowen Island community for psychological counselling and assessment services, particularly supporting children and families managing academic, developmental and behavioural challenges. When the opportunity opened up to take over a larger office space suitable to assemble a team of clinicians, they jumped at it. And that brings us to today, where we have an amazing group of clinicians offering a wide array of clinical services to the community we love.
